These League Tables Terms of Use ("League Tables Terms") govern your use of the Kumo League Tables and every page under kumo.earth/league-tables (together, the "League Tables"). They are made between you and Katanso Solutions Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16264296), whose registered office is at 71-75 Shelton Street, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom, trading as "Kumo" ("Kumo", "we", "us", or "our").
By accessing or using the League Tables, you agree to these League Tables Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the League Tables.
These League Tables Terms cover the public League Tables only. The Kumo Platform, the Kumo Terminal and any account with Kumo remain governed by our Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy.
1. What the League Tables are
1.1. The League Tables rank capital providers and record carbon finance transactions, project developers and funds. Kumo compiles them from public sources, including company announcements, regulatory filings and news reports, and from information sent to us. The selection, arrangement, descriptions, classifications and rankings are Kumo's own work.
1.2. The League Tables are free to read. Kumo may change, correct, remove or stop publishing any part of them at any time.
2. What you may do
Provided you comply with these League Tables Terms, you may:
2.1. Quote and refer. Quote individual figures, rankings and transactions from the League Tables, and refer to them, in articles, reports, research, teaching, presentations and posts, with the credit set out in section 4.
2.2. Use your own entries. If you are a capital provider, a project developer, a fund or another party named in the League Tables, use your own entries and rankings, and the transactions you are a party to, in your own press releases, website, social media, investor materials, pitch decks, reports and marketing, including for commercial purposes, with the credit set out in section 4.
2.3. Link. Link to any page of the League Tables.
3. What you may not do
You must not, and must not help or allow anyone else to:
3.1. Systematically Extract. Systematically download, scrape, crawl, harvest, or use any automated means (including bots, spiders, scripts, or AI agents) to extract, collect, or store the League Tables or any portion of them. Search engines may index the League Tables for the purpose of listing them in search results, and AI assistants may retrieve a page in order to answer a user's question with a citation and link to that page.
3.2. Copy or Reconstruct. Copy, reproduce or republish all or a substantial part of the League Tables, or repeatedly copy insubstantial parts, or reconstruct, replicate or approximate their dataset, tables, rankings, structure or methodology, whether in one go or over time.
3.3. Commercially Exploit. Sell, license, sublicense, distribute or otherwise commercially exploit the League Tables or any data from them, or incorporate them into any product, service, dataset, index or database offered to others, other than your own entries as section 2.2 allows.
3.4. Train Models. Use the League Tables or any data from them to create, train, fine-tune, evaluate or improve any artificial intelligence or machine learning model, or any product, service, dataset or index that competes with any Kumo product or service.
3.5. Circumvent. Circumvent, disable or interfere with any rate limit, access control or other technical measure that protects the League Tables, or disguise the source or volume of your requests.
3.6. Misrepresent. Alter figures or rankings and present them as Kumo's, or suggest that Kumo endorses you, your organisation or any transaction.
4. How to credit the League Tables
4.1. Whenever you quote or use the League Tables under section 2, credit them as "Source: Kumo League Tables" and, wherever the medium allows, link to kumo.earth/league-tables or to the page you are quoting. Where you can, include the date the data was shown as current.
4.2. Your permission under section 2 depends on giving this credit.
5. Our rights
5.1. The League Tables are protected by copyright and by the database right. All intellectual property rights in them belong to Kumo or its licensors. Nothing in these League Tables Terms transfers any of those rights to you, and all rights not expressly granted in section 2 are reserved.
5.2. If you would like to use the League Tables in a way section 2 does not cover, for example a data licence or a feed, contact us at support@kumo.earth.
6. Accuracy and no warranty
6.1. The League Tables are compiled from third-party and public sources that may contain errors, omissions or inaccuracies. Kumo does not independently verify every item, and a figure may be an estimate (for example, a share of a transaction split between its parties), as the League Tables say where it is.
6.2. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the League Tables are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Kumo gives no warranty, express, implied, statutory or otherwise, that any figure, ranking, description or other content is accurate, complete, current or fit for any purpose.
6.3. The League Tables are provided for general information only. They do not constitute and shall not be construed as financial, investment, tax, legal or other professional advice, or as an offer, solicitation or endorsement of any transaction, organisation or investment. Any decision you make in reliance on them is made at your own risk.
7. Limitation of liability
7.1. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Kumo shall not be liable to you, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty or otherwise, for any loss or damage arising out of or in connection with your use of, or reliance on, the League Tables, including any loss of profit, revenue, business, opportunity or goodwill, or any indirect or consequential loss.
7.2. Nothing in these League Tables Terms shall limit or exclude: (a) liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; (b) liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence; (c) liability for wilful misconduct; or (d) any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded by applicable law.
8. Corrections
8.1. If something in the League Tables looks wrong or is missing, tell us. Every record has a form for information and corrections, and you can also write to support@kumo.earth. Please say what is wrong and where the correct information is published. We review every report and correct the League Tables where the sources support it.
9. Breach
9.1. Kumo may block, limit or end your access to the League Tables, without notice, if we reasonably believe you have breached section 3.
9.2. You acknowledge that a breach of section 3 may cause Kumo harm for which damages alone would not be an adequate remedy, and that Kumo may seek injunctive or other equitable relief, in addition to any other remedy available to it.
10. Changes
10.1. Kumo may update these League Tables Terms from time to time. The version in force is the one published on this page, with the date it was last updated. Your continued use of the League Tables after an update means you accept it.
11. Governing law and jurisdiction
11.1. These League Tables Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or their subject matter or formation (including non-contractual disputes or claims) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
11.2. The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any such dispute or claim.
