What happened
- The Africa Go Green Fund (AGG), managed by Cygnum Capital, has agreed to invest USD 8 million in DelAgua to finance the deployment of improved biomass cookstoves in Rwanda under its Live Well programme: 200,000 stoves with a ten-year life, avoiding up to 4.38 million tCO2e over the project life, with the Government of Rwanda as a partner. DelAgua holds Article 6 labelled credits on Verra and expects to supply CORSIA-eligible credits. The instrument is not stated; AGG's wider book is debt-style, and its earlier BURN project finance agreement (DEBT-111) is recorded as debt.
Kumo note
- - A fund-financed stove roll-out: AGG agreed to invest US$8m to place 200,000 improved biomass cookstoves in Rwandan households, with up to 4.38m tCO2e avoided over the project life and Article 6 labelled credits on Verra. - The instrument is not stated and is understood to be debt, in line with AGG's other record in the book.
