What happened

Mirova announced a nature-based carbon investment in the TERAKA Project in Madagascar, developed by iTeraka. The community-led initiative aims to reforest 6,000 hectares of degraded land in central and eastern Madagascar by planting 3 million trees over eight years. Mirova's release gives US$40m invested across the three projects (Juramento, GANBOS and TERAKA) and does not split it by project, so no value is recorded on this row.

Kumo note

- Understood to be debt: Mirova's release says only that US$40m was invested across three projects and does not state the instrument. - TERAKA is one of three Mirova nature-based carbon investments announced together (with Juramento and GANBOS); it is community-led, and the amount for this project is not published.
