What happened

Milkywire pre-purchase of 131 t of durable carbon removal from PRONOE, funded by Salesforce, part of the September 2026 Milkywire round of Salesforce-backed pre-purchases (eight suppliers, 3,661 t). Closing wording: "Milkywire has completed a new round of Salesforce-backed pre-purchases of durable carbon removal, covering more than 3,600 tonnes from eight suppliers" (Milkywire release; carried by Sendeco2 on 23 September 2026). Value undisclosed per supplier and for the round; payment timing not stated. Part of Salesforce's First Movers Coalition pledge "to contract USD 100 million in durable carbon removal by 2030".

Kumo note

- Pre-purchase placed by Milkywire with Salesforce funding. Salesforce says each contract in the round will help a pilot or demonstration unit get built. - Milkywire describes it as the EU's first land-based ocean alkalinity enhancement system integrated with industrial desalination.
