What happened
- Forward pre-purchase of carbon removal from Restord, used for the pyrolyser manufacturer deposit and planning and permitting costs.
Kumo note
- Philanthropic capital advanced before any credit was delivered, and the first money into the plant. Terraset's own account is that the pre-purchase solved two problems at once: it paid the pyrolyser manufacturer's deposit and the planning and permitting costs, letting the developer spend before the bank loan drew, and it demonstrated contracted demand to the bank that then lent GBP 1m against the equipment. Money moved ahead of delivery, so it is a financing rather than a sales contract and it ranks in Debt. The tonnage and delivery period behind the purchase have not been published.
