What happened

Series A first close of US$40m, announced 22 June 2026, led by AVP with the existing institutional investors (every one participated, including Plural and Lowercarbon Capital) and new investors BYVP, Plug and Play, Illusian, Earth VC and DFDF, plus personal investments from John Doerr and Walter Kortschak. Closing wording: 'Isometric raises $40M'. Extended by US$10m on 15 September 2026 (EQ-246). Isometric operates a carbon removal registry and the Certify platform, is based in London and New York, and says seed and Series A together total US$75m.

Kumo note

First close of a Series A that was extended by US$10m in September 2026 when Intercontinental Exchange joined (EQ-246). || Capital into the measurement layer rather than into a project. Isometric issues no credits of its own and removes no carbon; it certifies what others do, so this money buys market infrastructure and not tonnes.
