What happened

Pachama, the nature-based carbon credit marketplace and verification company, raised US$15 million in a Series A led by Breakthrough Energy Ventures, with Amazon's Climate Pledge Fund, Saltwater, MCJ Collective, OATV, Lowercarbon Capital and angel investors, reported by TechCrunch on 30 April 2021.

Kumo note

- Pachama's first institutional round, led by Breakthrough Energy Ventures, brought in Lowercarbon alongside Amazon's Climate Pledge Fund, a pattern Lowercarbon repeated in Pachama's later extension.
