What happened
- Agreement EPC 23 014, approved at the Commission business meeting of 13 September 2023 and announced by the company on 12 July 2023. The Commission is the system of record for its own grant; the company said only over USD 8m. PSE Healthy Energy, Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, Stantec and Palmdale Water District are delivery partners, not providers.
Kumo note
- Capture6’s largest single ticket to date was a state grant awarded against a water utility’s waste stream: the brine left over from Palmdale’s potable reuse programme becomes the capture chemistry, so the project produces fresh water and removal from the same plant.
