What happened
- SBIR Phase II, award start 10 September 2024, for reactive CO2 capture via inorganic carbonate crystallisation. Distinct from GR-077, which is the NYSERDA and Columbia Carbontech Development Initiative award. Two smaller DOE Phase I awards and an STTR Phase I also exist and are not recorded here.
Kumo note
- Revora has funded its scale-up from federal research money, mineralising CO2 into carbonates using alkaline industrial residues, so its route to market runs through steelmakers’ waste streams rather than through a carbon credit.
