What happened

1PointFive, Occidental's carbon removal business, has agreed to sell over 15,000 tonnes of direct air capture carbon removal credits through channel partners, named as CUR8, Supercritical and Patch (Carbon Herald, 2 Oct 2026, citing a 1PointFive blog post). The partners resell to small and mid-sized organisations, for example for large events and year-end additions. The per-partner tonnages, price, delivery timing and end buyers are not disclosed; a caption in the Carbon Herald piece refers to Project Stratos, but the text does not say the credits come from it. The volume is a floor ('over 15,000 tonnes'), so no volume figure is entered. Recorded as an offtake with the three channel partners as counterparties, recorded with Role = Intermediary offtaker (they buy to resell, so they are not end offtakers); no capital moved before the credits, so it is out of the league tables.

Kumo note

A direct air capture developer selling through resellers rather than direct to end buyers, which is how small and mid-sized organisations are reached; the resellers are the contract counterparties here, not the end buyers.
