What happened
- Multi-year offtake agreement with deliveries scheduled between 2025 and 2033, beginning from Deep Sky's first facility, Alpha. Deep Sky's release states it is the first DAC provider in Rubicon Carbon's portfolios. No tonnage, term value or price is disclosed, and the release contains no language about advance payment or capital provision. Recorded, not ranked: no source states that capital moved before the credits did, and silence on payment timing means it does not rank. Every party is an offtaker, so the parties carry Credit = Buyer and Party class = Infrastructure and none is a capital provider.
Kumo note
- The first direct air capture supply into a managed carbon portfolio, which is how engineered removal reaches buyers who are not themselves DAC purchasers. Delivery runs to 2033 from a facility that only started producing in 2025, so the agreement is mostly forward risk on a plant that has yet to prove its run rate.
