What happened
- Long-term forward offtake over credits from the Bulindi Agroforestry and Chimpanzee Conservation Project in Uganda, announced by Green Earth Group (formerly DGB Group, Euronext Amsterdam) on 11 August 2026. US$4.8m of firm contracted future sales for delivery between 2027 and 2031, with an option that would take the total to approximately US$16.3m and extend delivery through 2035. The buyer is described only as a leading international energy company. The company states that the contractual delivery volumes and unit pricing are commercially sensitive and are not disclosed, so no volume or per-credit price is recorded here.
Kumo note
- A listed developer contracting future credit sales rather than selling spot, which is what turns a project pipeline into something a lender or an equity investor can underwrite. Note the shape: a firm tranche to 2031 and a much larger option running to 2035, so most of the headline value is the buyer's right to take more rather than a commitment to. The seller has disclosed the contract value and expressly withheld the volume and the price per credit, which is a fair summary of how much of this market is visible from the outside.
