What happened
- Microsoft agreed to purchase approximately 1.6m tCO2e over a 30-year term from the Azuero Peninsula reforestation project, structured as a combination of a credit streaming agreement (Microsoft's first) and an offtake agreement. Separately Microsoft agreed to buy ~311,500 credits representing 100% of Carbon Streaming's entitlement, through 2040. The offtake was unchanged by the December 2025 stream amendment.
